La Belle Noise (2019)

Shot at the Fest Film Festival in Espinho, Portugal, in June 2018, La Belle Noise is an experimental film that veers between fiction and documentary as it looks into the hopes and dreams of actors and the craft of acting.

Featuring Beg Steal Borrow stalwart Dennis Chua, as well as a major turn from Colin Morgan, a newcomer to the fold, the film also tries to understand what role noise plays in film, and whether location shooting with minimal resources can yield a kind of jazz quality or sound.

La Belle Noise also features cameos from established filmmakers Scandar Copti (Ajami) and Pete Travis (Dredd), as well as turns from filmmakers and performers from across two continents.
